In 1965, in the bustling heart of Karachi, our family patriarch — a man the neighbourhood called "Pehlwan" for his strength and character — began making rewari the way his mother had taught him. No machines. No shortcuts. No compromise.
He selected only the plumpest white sesame seeds from trusted farmers, roasted them slowly over a careful flame until each one sang with nutty warmth, and combined them with the richest, darkest desi gur at precisely the moment when everything aligned into something magical.
Three generations later, we still make Pehlwan Rewari exactly the same way. Because some things should never change — especially when they are this good.
